PhD Defense

I recently defended my PhD thesis. Here you can find the slides, made with quarto and revealjs which allows one to use markdown (with some extra ). Overall the experience of using these tools as opposed to the traditional Powerpoint/Keynote was mixed. Managing your bibliography and citations was much easier, but the exact positioning of images and text was more difficult. The nice thing is that you can host the slides as a webpage/webapp, which can be found here. If you would like to use the slides for your own presentation, you can find the source code here, which includes very specific tweaks to get it to work the way I want that I might write a post on soon.
